The book's main character, Calvin Pstone (the “P” is silent), is the most successful Quit Smoking Professional in the world. As a spy in the President’s “War on Drugs” for over 30 years, part of his cover was to operate as a "Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor".  Because of their high cost and low success rate, he spied on Government funded Addiction Agencies, State Prisons, and Lock Down Rehabilitation Centers.

Calvin has cornered the world’s market on Quit Smoking Aids and Lotteries. With several billion dollars at his command, naturally his yacht, “The Pamalotta”, is the size of a ship. Over the last few years he has devoted his personal efforts to those qualifying for his 2 week stop smoking cruises to Sitka, Alaska via the “Inside Passage”.
